ABC has been incessantly running promos for Barbara Walters’ annual “10 Most Fascinating People” special that airs next Thursday, and I think I picked up on a subliminal message. They’re keeping two guests under wraps, claiming they’re too controversial to even speak their names, but there’s a half-second clip of a honeyed bosom and some formerly familiar tresses that speaks for itself. This is most definitely Britney Spears, correct? I have no clue why they wouldn’t hype the living hell out of an appearance like this, given the bulk of the hour is reserved for questionable choices like Katherine Heigl and everyone’s favorite Myspace friend, but I know not the ways of marketing. Judge for yourself below, and pray that Barbara remembers to wear socks…
EDIT: Apparently Walters doesn’t interview everyone on the list. This is now completely unexciting.
